Video Critique Introductory.

Twenty minutes of constructive Video Critiquing of your painting for just $290. This also includes a one-month Master Class subscription. After your purchase, you will be redirected to a special form for your comments and questions (should you have any), and instructions for uploading your images.

The critique can be of your completed work (or works) or even work-in-process (one or several stages). Professional experience indicates that this kind of critique is very helpful in bringing your future art projects to the next level of expertise and proficiency.

The most effective method of critiquing is to have video recommendations on the very beginning or early stages of your working process. Firstly, get a critique on arranging a composition by drafting or sketching, or start from a photograph of your still life or person. A properly constructed composition is half the battle! After you receive the critique, continue your work, and after completing that particular stage, progressively request the next video critique until you complete your paintings.

How does it work?

Video critique with Photoshop enhancement of a digital reproduction of your painting.

You submit the image of your painting-in-progress or of your finished artwork along with your questions (should you have any). Then I will review it in Photoshop, videotape my digital corrections along with my remarks and comments and post it back. I think digital corrections are a much better format than corrections on the canvas itself. Here is why: Sometimes the artist has mixed feelings about the teacher correcting right on the canvas. On the one hand, he is happy to watch and learn from the teacher, but on the other hand he feels like he’s losing ownership of his work. So in our case, with the video criticism method, your painting will always be safe from the teacher’s brush.
